How we handle your account, your business data, and the security of sensitive information when you use Evlo.
Last updated: 6 November 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Evlo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. The service
Evlo is a cloud-based point-of-sale platform used to manage sales, inventory, customers, staff, and payments. We may update or change features of the Service at any time to improve functionality or security.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Evlo, we may collect and process:
- Account information — name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Transaction data — sales records, invoices, refunds, and inventory changes.
- Customer data you store — names, contact details, and purchase history of your own customers.
- Payment information — billing details and payment method metadata processed via our payment providers.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service, used for security and diagnostics.
5. Data security and encryption
We take the protection of your data seriously. Sensitive and personal information — including login credentials, payment details, and customer records — is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS and encrypted at rest in our databases and backups.
Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorised systems and personnel on a need-to-know basis, and is protected by authentication and access controls. We do not store full raw payment card numbers; card payments are processed through PCI-compliant third-party payment providers.
While we apply industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you transmit through the Service.
6. How we use your data
We use collected data to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, process transactions, provide customer support, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7. Data retention and your rights
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us, subject to any legal retention obligations.
8. User responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the Service, including your own customers' information, and for ensuring you have the right to collect and store that information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Intellectual property
All software, branding, and content provided as part of the Service remain the property of Evlo and its licensors. You retain ownership of the business data you input into the Service.
10. Limitation of liability
Evlo is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Contact us
